Cape Town - Springbok lock RG Snyman scored a superb solo try while playing for the Honda Heat in the Japanese Top League on Sunday.
The Heat lost their match 23-21 against the Kubota Spears, but they had surged into a 14-3 lead when Snyman plucked the ball out of the air from a kick-off and then danced his way through several defenders to score a sensational individual try.
The 24-year-old is one of several South Africans to have left the country since the Springboks' triumph at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Having represented the Bulls in Super Rugby from 2015-2019, Snyman was one of the success stories for the Boks at the World Cup where he played in all seven of South Africa's matches.
He was a substitute in the November 2 final, replacing the injured Lood de Jager as the Boks secured a 32-12 win over England in Yokohama.
A video of Snyman's try was posted on the Rugby Pass Twitter account.
